Low Kill, High Thrill

The Austin Animal Center is Central Texas’ largest municipal animal resource shelter, however, it is rarely recognized for its outstanding work. Housed in a brand new facility filled with state of the art accommodations for both staff and animals alike, this low kill shelter provides extensive services for its animals while benefitting the Austin community. We highlighted their view on euthanization and what they are doing to grow as a vital part of the Austin family environment. While we were there, we were able to walk around and meet the precious animals that would hopefully one day find a permanent home.
